Him and Doucoure were poor today. Shame because I like both of them. Think they need a third player in there to not get over-run.

That’s half the problem with our teamHim and Doucoure were poor today. Shame because I like both of them. Think they need a third player in there to not get over-run.
He's being asked to be more progressive on and off the ball because we have no ball carrier in the attacking mid role, and he can't do that.
He's a defensive destroyer. That's all he can do. He's very good at it. It's what he should be tasked with, along with Doucoure box to box and a playmaking attacking midfielder who takes it to feet and runs a ball - one who doesn't hide like a certain Icelandic ghost does.
As per usual, we're square pegs in round holes, all over the shop. No balance at all due to an abortive recruitment strategy.
What?? Have you actually watched him?
Yes. He's a terrier - one of those who identifies dangers and rats across the line throwing niggling tackles. A ball winner. If you watched him at Napoli you'd have seen it more than you do with us.
I mean he was obviously an Ancelotti signing...I think this has been another poor signing by Brands. I think the league is too quick for him and his performances in this pre-season have been way below par.
Another ageing big money signing that we’ll be stuck with for 2 years and then release on a free… If we could get half our outlay back from a foreign club I’d snap their hand off and reinvest.
Mate. He is atrocious positionally and can’t keep up with the pace of the Premier League, that’s why whenever he plays as the deepest midfielder for us he gets ghosted past and we have gaping holes all over the place in front of our back 4. He is not cut out for the Premier League.

He was good at Napoli.
Thus far he has done next to nothing here. Then again you could say that about most of them in that time.
Maybe, but after just one season I'm giving the well respected Brazilian international the benefit of the doubt when he has to play in a midfield of Tom Davies and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
