I don't really understand your point? I'm not concerned about it or anything, I was just passing comment that being subbed on on 27 different occasions in one season is quite noteworthy. It would be quite a lot for an attacking player but for a defensive midfielder it's definitely a lot more than you would normally expect. They obviously had their reasons and it seems to have worked well for them, I'd just be interested to know what the rationale was (did they have another midfielder who just couldn't last 90 minutes, was he seen as more attacking/defensive than the person he was replacing, was he covering different positions etc).Ok, but it may be because he is only learning and developing, like Gordon’s appearances under Ancelotti.
