He's pretty much doing what he was bought to do for a player of his experience and skill set.
I think it's a bit more complex than that. The midfield is a massive part of the problem we have at the moment. How much of that is down to the individuals and how much is the tactics it's very difficult to say, but having a midfield which doesn't really create anything, doesn't keep hold of the ball well, and doesn't shield the defence well is a big issue. I like Onana and I think as an individual he's way down the list of problems, but I think people are getting total tunnel vision about the striker issue and ignoring/not seeing that even sticking Lewandowski up front in this team wouldn't transform it.

Thought he played really well. Misplaced the odd pass but also played a beauty with his left to set mykolenko free. Will get better and better.
