2022/23 Amadou Onana

Had about the same number of really really good games as I have nipples. Physical specimen, seems intelligent, likes a tackle. But horrifically ineffective (that is not a comment on talent/quality) footballer both attacking and defending. And can’t use the inexperienced tag. The things he doesn’t do are nothing to do with experience. He’s played footy under elite coaches every day probably since he was 6, and still has no idea what’s behind him, ever. The number of goals this season where the scorer or assister ran behind Onana within 5 seconds of the ball going in the net is a joke. He doesn’t get too much blame because he ends up 10 yards from the scorer or assister so looks like he wasn’t involved.

There are so so many scutty, ugly, uncool midfielders without his size, potential, and attitude that just flat out affect games. That’s all that matters, affecting games. He just gets booked a lot. Getting to dislike him more than Doucoure just because Doucoure is crap, lazy and stupid. He can’t help it. Onana should be utterly dominant in our team and our best player every week, and just isn’t.

He hasn't said anything like that at all.

Stop reading twitter crap mate.

And the replies....deary me.
To quote Onana himself (unless you are calling him a liar) “I see myself, God willing, in one of the biggest clubs recognised worldwide.” This was in response to being asked where he see's himself over the next few years. He will go anyway because we need the money basically.

He's definitely had more than three really really good games IMHO.

COYB!

John.
😂. Scaramanga!

Honestly think we’d have more points if we’d bought 2 x dirty midfield scrappers rather than a partially built Rolls Royce for the same money. His main contribution to EFC will be an £8mill profit.

God forbid we have players who want to be the best in the world.

If he becomes as good as he wants to be, and in my opinion as good as his attributes could allow him to be, we’ll get a couple of good seasons out of him and then loads of money.

Lukaku chatted about leaving all the time but scored loads whilst he was here and then we got like 80m for him or something. Players wanting to be the best either means we get better as a team and they stay, or we get profit to try and reinvest.

It's bollox mate.
He hasn't said anything about when he will play for a "Top" team.
It's no different to any aspiring player at any club.

He will go , as they all go eventually.

But let's stop reading twitter trying to sell our players.

Good on him, I’d be questioning any footballer with a different attitude.
