Actually think Forest had been working in training on him starting, was noticeable when he came on, first 5 minutes every time he got the ball, three of them where pressing him as a pack instantly.

The early booking restricted him a little and there was a nervousness that he'd get a red after. He could have as well. On a raw level he looks like he has all the attributes.

Long term I think he'd be awesome in a three man midfield alongside another box to box with a holding def mid behind.
Basically a three with say Garner holding and Onana and a Gallagher (even Gueye) alongside - DCL up top and Gordon playing off him but effectively given a free role to roam around.

In a way that early booking showed me he's not an idiot, he watched himself from that point onwards, seen a lot just rush into another tackle straight off and get a second yellow
Would hd e been very very harsh should the other free kick he gave up after got a yellow though.
Another young player getting thrown into a disfunctional team / tactical set up, putting undue pressure on them.
He should be getting introduced from a position of strength, ie when we are winning or at least in control, instead he’s being asked to change the flow of the match. If he was capable of that, ie up to speed, used to the league etc, he would be starting.

Problem for me is mate - Gordon isn't not picking a pass, but usually there's no actual option ahead of him - we don't have any movement or people running into space in the box whatsoever. Funny enough the person who does do they in the side is Gordon, but git no one who can pick him out when he does.
