I dont undetstand about either point on 'technically'. His technique is well up there.
His passing is quality. Just look at the assists he should have had start of season, the through balls he has in his locker like today when DCL was offside. For Belgium especially, very good
The frustrating but necessary thing is that even if we sold for £125mil it would give us £106mil....£100mil would give us £86.6mil.
Due to his £33mil fee having the 20% clause on profit to Lille.
If we sold him we would surely need to use the money on 3 CM players. We only have Garner left at end of the season with both Gana and Gomes out of contract.
So it would be a case of Onana OR 3 new CMs so we have 2 starting and 2 to rotate.
We may even need to spread the money around due to lack of bodies so Onana = 3×CM + 1×RW + 1×ACM.
Would we be a better team with e.g Neil (Sunderland), Hackney (Boro), Wharton (Blackburn), Bakayoko (PSV) and Gnonto (Leeds)
Or keeping a future superstar in Onana?
A: Would those 5 players improve the team more than keeping Onana?
B: Would those 5 players values increase substantially more than Onanas' will over the next few years?
