….unless he was put through a rigorous fitness test or trained on it. Last I read was that they were hopeful he’d be fit for the weekend, hopefully he’s not worst now than he was when he left.

Agreed but very annoying timing, been consistently very good recently which he hadn't since he'd been here (understandably)

Yeah he just hit form and started to play like we all (most of us) thought he had in him. Hopefully a short recovery and back to his form from a couple weeks ago asap

Let's hope so...we need him now more than ever...our squad is paper thin and him missing a few weeks would be a disaster at a time when we are going to play a lot of games.

Same midfield that ended the Palace game and started for the Brighton game then. We won't have that much of the ball anyway, so no big deal for me. Just lack power and athleticism on the break now with no Amadou, sadly.

At what point does it get deemed serious? As someone with persistent calf muscle problems it’s never so bad that I couldn’t run if I had to or that it requires surgery but it flares up so often and unpredictably that in a professional footballer it would be a real problem.

It might not be a torn ACL but a persistent niggle like that can be a real problem long term.

That sounds like a longer term injury...probably safe to say that he will be out for the next few weeks at a time when we need points on the board, a heavy schedule with many games in the short term, and very few options on the bench really with gomes still some way from full fitness if at all in dyche thinking...I guess that will mean dropping for a few games doucoure in midfield but then who do you play instead alongside dcl...

Points are important at ANY stage of the season mate , point being if its a problem now get it sorted rather than lose him long term.
Gana will replace him , done very well lately.
