We've dodged bullets here.

Bigger fish to fry.

I'd take a point v Spurs over a SF berth in the LC.

That's where we are.
Maybe but what would you say if players drop performances they have been having because of tonight. Can go both ways, i am not to angry as i expected nothing from this season i am dissapointed as we had a massive advantage. But now is up to the players to react and go again

Bigger fish to fry being finishing above Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest in a non-relegation battle? Cuckoo land.
Take a look at the table. Then factor in another possible 6 points deduction this season.

Then tell me it's cloud cuckoo land.

He's valuable in the senses he's young, strong, and as I've said many times he has a high ceiling imo. That's why I'm frustrated he doesn't take hold of games more, I think he's got the ability to do that.

The issue I've got is what he did tonight completely flies in the face of everything we're trying to achieve, and totally contradicts what Dyche said just last week about authenticity etc.

Look, he'll know he's messed up, I know, and I trust those who matter to deal with it/support as appropriate, but that was really, really bad tonight.
I know, I totally agree. Im just saying with what we have gone/ going through, I think its more important to stay together, not to lose focus, especially spread negativity onto the team, and finish strong.

Just my opinion. I'd rather we survive, show the PL the fingers and go again next season

Wake up tomorrow, still be hurt.

Coke the next game, we know we will all support the team. And let's say he scores? All is forgotten! Thats all I'm saying.

Let's just stay positive and carry on

Should be nowhere near the 5th pen.

He ain't a goalscorer, he's a laid back ball player in that midfield.

Horrific management to pick him for the deciding pen.
You're probably right about the manager picking the order, but it's usually the players who say if they want one or not.

As someone else said, his ego's got the better of him and he said he fancies one. He's basically bottled it. It happens.

How he got one before Garner is a mystery.

We drew against a decent Fulham atm.

Doesn't matter, if the keeper had dived to the right, which could well have happened, he'd have scored. I'm not saying it was a good penalty, but I've seen plenty as bad as that, I thought he'd gone to Panenka it and fallen on his bottom the way people were talking about it.
accurately put it in the corner and it doesn't matter that about the lack of pace.

He did neither. Horrific.

The keeper could have broken his spine on the penalty before and still saved that pen.

It was literally passed to him, it was terrible.
He overcomplicated it instead of picking a side and thumping it he thought he'd try and con the keeper and ended it up looking daft. He's not the first and he won't be the last, although I suspect you won't see a penalty like that again as long as Dyche is here!!

Dave, if they are going to take more points off us it's time to accept that the whole thing is run by a Mafia. We won't be surviving that. I don't think we can reasonably expect Dyche or this squad to absorb 16 points and still stay up. Jeez, a league cup win might at least have made that palatable.

Up to the manager to say no

Dyche will know which 5 is the best to pick

Good and so he should but I doubt he’s hurting more than the men and women who go home and away and have done for years to see us win nothing.
I get it.

I'm just saying, we can't do siht. Why not just stay strong, together and keep the positivity and stay where we belong?

Its just my opinion. Im happy for us to stay together and show the PL we aren't going anywhere

We will be nowhere near the relegation battle this season. Over the course of nearly half a season we've proven we're a top half side. We're 7 points clear of it already.

If football isn't about trying to win stuff, what's the point? It was a massive missed opportunity tonight and there's no other way of looking at it.

It's great people saying "it happens, he'll learn from it".

I'm sure he will, but I bet it won't be another penalty shoot out for Everton where he redeems himself. Every 5 or so years we get the odd chance to get a semi final/final and usually blow it. That was our chance tonight and he'll be long gone by the time the next chance comes for another player to blow it
We have to hope this doesnt have an effect on the league now, that will be in players heads that we could have been in a semi final, and may put them on a downer. wouldnt mind if he missed by hitting it hard/brilliant save etc. Nice to see some are happy as ever we are out though. sad they would rather we be out than get to a semi final. The only thing that would make this even worst is if we would have drew Boro in the S/F

Just making a rod for your own back with pens like that.

I'll forgive it when your 3-0 up in games, never in a million years should you be doing that in a shoot out at home, to win the tie, going tk the semis, for a team who's not won a trophy in nearly 30 years. Scandalous behaviour.
