He's doing the job Dyche asks of him and is doing it well. Thought he was fine today, was looking to pass forward and most of our attacks started from him. Find it baffling how some thought he was , bar the stupid shot he didn't do much wrong.

It's a symptom of modern Everton.

Fans expect the better players to be better than they are. While giving the crap ones too much leeway.

I know what you mean because he has the potential to make good ground but unless he's charging into empty space he'd be losing it straight away. There's no ability to dribble round a player there.

Yeah, the notion that he would play well in a better team is hilarious. I mean, of course he would. Anybody would. But the real top players do it when their team needs them, when the chips are down, and when they are needed to drag their team mates up and over the line. This fella disappears.

Sounds like you are saying he should carry the team. He is given a job and he does it OK. He doesn't waste the ball that much, looks for forward passes if movement ahead. I think he is doing ok regardless

There are far too many poor passes that you wouldn't get from someone at the top level of the game. I could be absolutely wrong but I never see Onana dominating games in the likes of the knock out rounds of the Champions League.

Mate we may differ in opinion but Onana is a belgian international but to shine and stick out then he has to have similar players around him. I can see his class but feel his frustration as is what is around him now. He is being dragged down. I am not surprised at the clubs linked with him

I think he should lead the team and lead by example. He should make those around him better than they are. After all, if he is to benefit from playing with better players, others inferior to him should benefit from his presence. There is little evidence of that.

When players in front of him do not make the space required for him to exploit then I fear he cannot make any of them better. It is possible that he has made them better but still not good enough.
