Honestly can’t see anyone paying much more than we paid for him. He looks just ok at times and poor at times. Never amazing. Never a 50 million player that’s for sure.

Not an Everton fan, but I do enjoy reading your forum, so I figured I'd throw in my two cents...

Onana doesn't seem to be good any anything in particular; he doesn't score many goals, he doesn't have exceptional passing range, he doesn't assist/create chances, he doesn't dribble at an elite level, he doesn't make tons of tackles or interceptions...at this point he's all hype and reputation without any body of work to back up the belief he will be an elite player. It would be a good deal to get back what they spent plus any profit, because they definitely overpaid Lille; they thought they were getting Yaya Toure 2.0 but they essentially bought Papa Bouba Diop. If they can get him out for a decent fee and use that money to keep the financial difficulties at bay + hold on to Branthwaite, that should be the play, IMO.

Bit unfair, I thought Papa Bouba Diop was a good player.

Saying he’d look very good in a better side is such a lazy and obvious thing to say. Most reasonable professional footballers would look better in a good side.

I just don’t see much from him. He’s got potential but that’s currently still all it is.

Thought he’s been ok tbh, but the idea that he’s some kind of different player for Belgium is clearly nonsense.

Sometimes he does look brilliant for them but usually when they're playing someone like Luxembourg.

No idea why he enrages so many of you. He's a decent player and has never kicked up a fuss or sulked to the press. Lots of potential but as of yet not really justified the hype.

The way he lives rent free in lot of Evertonian heads is just weird though.
