Gooner in peace here hoping to get a bit of scouting report from you guys. I've read allot of this thread already. I've goto say your poster who said 'can't pass and first touch of a trampoline' worried me a bit. My biggest memory of the player was him absolutely battering Thomas Partey at Goodison last season.

If Arsenal are in for him I hope your owners can stick 2 fingers up at Ratboycliffe with that pathetic offer for 1 of your best players.
Onana is a very decent footballer but hasn't fitted into how Dyche wants to play

Frustratingly when he has played he shows glimpses of good technical ability but his lack of hunger and desire to impose himself on the game appears to be well below his ability.

I'm sure that he will play better with better players but he definitely won't transform your team.

played in his right position onana is going to be a brilliant player, probably not world class but the next level behind. Hence why big clubs are after him.

Probably the type of player we should be going for if we get to where we want to be as a club in a few years ie fighting for European spots on a regular basis but due to the limited ability of our midfielders he’s mostly played out of position and by doing so doesn’t represent anywhere near 60 odd million in value to our team.

So him being sold to help our psr problems and also hopefully reinvesting in a decent cm and right mid we’ll be far better off for it. As will his career by moving elsewhere and playing in his right position

Good luck to the lad. Could have left when we looked certain for relegation but stayed.

It'd be pretty strange to play someone at number 6 in the Premier League who lets players run past him and can't be bothered tracking back.

Isnt it stranger to talk about positioning when he is in a different position?

Im not sure you know what a midfield anchor is.

We need to replace him with someone who "runs around alot" it seems.

As you say, play him correctly and he'll be ace...thats not happening under Dyche.

So no choice but to sell.

22 year old Rice walks into our midfield and is our best player.

22 year old Onana doesn't and isn't.

Shoe fits.

Not sure why you've edited the post you're quoting to make it look like a said something I didn't, but whatever floats your boat.

Yeah its also totally daft as Rice is 25. Had been used as the fulcrum for West Ham in a passing team.

Onana is used out of position and doesnt play in a passing team.

Moyes wanted him to pair alongside Rice.

That one they near scored on the break at the end, switches off doesnt track runner, gets back at 75% pace and luckily keeper saves his bacon.
Really detest players that haven't won a pot in their careers big upping themselves
