It's a rich private school sport here like in England except instead of every school playing it's like 20 in NY/NE and a few more on the West Coast.

It very much is but at least it isn't so isolated. The only American sports that aren't shutting out people without the means to play club/travel are basically basketball and our football.

We do for sure. Youth footy is huge, but as kids grow up, and there is a time to choose a sport the best athletes choose the gridiron, basketball, and baseball. By high school age footy is played by rich kids and those of latino descent.

Think it costs a good bit to get involved with like organised footy but yeah, get your point MG

One of the lads I know whose over there as a coach is making brewsters because the parents pay about a grand per kid just to have them as a part of an academy with English coaches with semi-pro experience.
