Makes you realise how good a manager he is when comparing his time with us to Benitez.

Such a shame he couldnt build on the platform he built and instead the squads confidence and ability are eroding beneath their feet.

The team was a horror to watch. I was delighted to get him in, underwhelmed with what he did but still strangely disappointed when he left.

We went more defensive because pickford was giving a goal a game away, if he got the the keeper he wanted at the start of the season I'm sure we would of done a lot better, he knew the standard of this group of players he couldn't trust them to play possession football.

Revisionism. Dom was going to be a better striker last season whoever was in charge.
Carlo was coasting here. Bringing in two 29 year olds shows as his major signings showed he had no long term vision here
Why would Anchelotti ever have any vision at everton apart my a a cash driven one.

Great manager but let’s be honest, he was pretty crap at Everton regardless of us being second on Boxing Day (Why that even gets mentioned is beyond me, like it’s some kind of achievement lol). We were genuinely good for like the opening five or six matches and then basically spawned tons of dodgy results with poor displays for a couple of months before reverting back to textbook Everton. We played dreadful football for the most part just like we do nowadays.

Wasn’t arsed when he left, definitely not arsed now.

There was nothing remotely close to miracle work in his time at Everton.
The no-striker win against Wolves was legit. We won ugly from December onward, but at least they were wins.

I think the way we gasped across the finish line after Madrid came calling left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.
