The El Clasico drubbing will sting but I'm sure they'd have taken it if you offered it in exchange for winning the PSG-tie.

He's got La Liga wrapped up so he can finish career having won every big competition he competed in. Wouldn't write them off in the UCL either.

The best manager of the best 30 years other than SAF for me, Klopp and Guardiola are still a fair way behind them despite media narratives. Not many in the game are just as good as they were 15-20 years ago but Ancelotti is. Just got no time for him at all as a fella after how he behaved towards us, it was crappy at best and very dishonourable and underhanded at worst. I know we're a complete mess but flat-out lied to people's faces. Very disappointing conduct.
I believe the opposite. He was sold a lie by the board and promised loads of money backing him. He saw the truth for himself in January when we failed to capitalise on our good position and signed Josh King on a free transfer. The players were beginning to down tools and were a far cry from the model professionals he has spent his career working with.

He left because he could see what was about to come. I don’t blame him one bit.

All that's correct mate. Just there's a difference between being a bit dishonest for the greater good, all managers need to do that from time to time, and outright lying to people needlessly. For me he was guilty of the latter.

Mate he packed his bag and abandoned us. I don't like Barca either, more of an Espanyol fan.

But what he did to us sums up the mercenary attitude in modern footballers and managers.

Zero loyalty to fans or Club.We have been rightly screwed financially by so many users, and we could end up in serious trouble while these geniuses are laughing all the way to the bank.
How many managers have we saved recently?

Did we show them any loyalty or time, no.

Why moan the first time someone does it to us, especially when he is one of the best managers of the modern era going to the biggest team in the world. He’s seen what was going on inside the club, he would have been next to be culled, good on him.

Same, not in the slightest.

Yeah, exactly, given that Benitez was given nothing to start with then Carlo was obviously told the same at the end of last year. Off he goes to someone who will support him financially (and in terms of status and ambition). Carlo knows he has nothing to prove and the last thing he would choose is to languish in the middle of the PL when the biggest club in the world is calling.

Yet people still bring up this thread every now and again to have a bitch and to gloat when La Liga and Champions League chasing Real Madrid concede a goal or something. I suppose they’re just looking for outlets for their rampant negativity.
