If we sign him, we need loads of outgoings in central midfield.

We have a domestic-only season, and as such as do not need options of Besic, Schneiderlin, Davies, Baningime, Dowell, Gueye. Baningime would be best being sent on loan, Davies too but it won't happen, and ideally Schneiderlin would be sold to balance the books a bit (also won't happen).

I can see Besic going to Boro and Baningime and possibly Dowell going on loan, but those two will drop down a division and so it can wait until end of window (but no idea why clubs would wait seeing as the season has started already).

The EFL loan window runs on for a few weeks yet after today so no immediate need to loan out any young players, Besic could be going to Leeds today if reports are to be believed

Christ, we have an entire midfield of minimal talent grinders and yet you’d rather have another one than someone who seemingly can actually play football and pick a pass ?

He had a decent spell for a few months, but overall failed to fit in.

I never really got why they signed him. He seemed overpriced at the time because he didn't really fit what they needed.

He isn't world class, but would certainly be a huge improvement on what we have.

And, as I said, it would hopefully open the door to Schneiderlin leaving.
