Very happy with this as a loan signing. Would be quite risky getting him on a permanent deal. Very good deal getting him with Besic looking like he’s being sold.

I live in Spain bud, Valencia's my team over here and I watch all of their games. Andre Gomes was nothing special while at Valencia. He got his move to Barca but that does not for one second mean he is a world beater.

Signing for Barca does not mean you are necessarily an "elite" player. Andre Gomes is now the latest victim of their transfer policy of signing players with potential. All while us blues lap it up as if we're bringing in bloody Socrates.

It would be incredible if he panned out, but Christ almighty he is not a sure thing because he came from Barcelona. Hopefully he proves himself worthy of a buy as that’d mean he did pretty damned well for us. I have major doubts... but I trust Silva

Agreed.

I want him to do incredible things at Everton, but I've watched the lad play and although he is fantastic technically, is not the player we actually NEED in the centre of our midfield

You saying he's worse than Schneiderlin?

What are his strengths and weaknesses?
 
Need to give the lad a chance. Hopefully it could be like the Arteta signing in 2005. A player with clear talent who has lost his way and needs some love.
Let's get behind the lad and see what he can do!
Surely can't be worse than what we have in Schneiderlin who can only go backwards and Davies who can only give it away.
