I don't think we - as fans - have any idea what our system is yet, so I would assume that Gomes is someone the system will fit around, rather than him having to fit into the existing structure.

Not really. He flashed, at times, but was pretty underwhelming with the ball at his feet.

His best asset was his tackling and he was brilliant at that but he wasn't incredibly technically sound.

I live in Spain bud, Valencia's my team over here and I watch all of their games. Andre Gomes was nothing special while at Valencia. He got his move to Barca but that does not for one second mean he is a world beater.

Signing for Barca does not mean you are necessarily an "elite" player. Andre Gomes is now the latest victim of their transfer policy of signing players with potential. All while us blues lap it up as if we're bringing in bloody Socrates.

Gomes won`t be fit for a few weeks by the sounds of it, so it looks like Bernard / Icleand will be playing as the baller in the middle for a while anyway.

Personally I would`ve tried to get shut of Schneidrerfraud before Besic.

For all his faults, Besic at least offers something going forward, where as the Fraud offers nothing at all.

..Bernard hasn’t played football for 5 months, so I think he’s some weeks off as well.

Playing CM for a few weeks might suit the Invisible Man.

Gets to do a load of running round and might finally be able to show that he can make us tick.

I'd be interested in seeing it. Or just seeing something from him.
