How can you back him to finish over Dominic Calvert-Lewin and maupay and then say he's not ready? Plus I don't think anybody thinks he's a mini haaland just worth a go because what we've got is not doing the job it's paid to do.

Quietly glad if we miss out on this one because I think we will be here in 12 months cursing why we wasted our time on him and that we cannot get rid because we are paying him a fortune and gave him a 2.5 year contract.

It all just smells of desperation like Maupay and Rondon.

Not saying he's the answer but give Simms games to see what he can do, if he gets us goals and we stay up great, if he doesn't then is it worse than where we are right now? We can at least say he had a chance then.

So the guy we've got as our main striker that would have gone to the world cup is a terrible striker.. cracking argument (can't argue with the maupay one). Also despite Simms having a few 10 minute cameos (might actually only be one since he's comeback but I could be wrong but he laid the ball on for our one goal of the game) you've already decided that he's also terrible. That seems like a good way to give a man confidence but it doesn't matter that seems to be the Everton way now let's just say everybody is terrible even if they haven't actually been given a chance. It's quite simple for me give some of our youth a chance what have we got to lose? I hated the comment that lampard used to come out with of he's "trained really well" but week in week out they didn't perform on the pitch where it mattered. Maybe give some guys a chance that train but maybe on the pitch will do the job rather than just run around a lot in training.

As I said yesterday, I hoped that Forest would get him, he is finished at this level and well over weight, Rondon2:0 I doubt that Dyche wants him. He would just be more money wasted, money that we don't appear to have. We will very probably go down this season and Ayew is not going to be the game changer there, dodged a bullet here.

I don't get your first sentence?

DCL isn't a terrible striker because he would have gone to the world cup?

But he didn't go, because he's a very very bad striker who's got 1 goal this season.

He's been injured bla bla but he's still played about a dozen games and come up with 1 goal.

All of our striker options are bad, hence why we NEEDED a striker in the window, hence why we have scored the least goals in the prem bar maybe wolves ( who signed a few strikers to fix this )
