It has been cut to six, one more moderate result and it officially a disaster.

Andre Gomes was signed for big money by Barcelona...... that statement says a lot in my opinion.
He was obviously rated highly by them and certainly was part of their first team plans for a substantial number of games.

Things seem to have soured there for a few reasons but the potential of the player is undoubtedly there.
We took advantage of the situation and lured him to Everton. If nothing else it should help Minna settle having another colleague from Barca at Everton.
But, hopefully Gomes will be fit shortly and we will see the player that Barca bought and just maybe we may have the chance of buying him outright depending on how the loan goes.

If it doesn't really work out then at the end of the season he goes back to his own club.
Either way it is well worth the risk in my opinion.

If he isn’t fit by the West Ham game, send him back to Barca. So far, this has just been an absolutely pointless signing, along with Mina and Bernard. Only Everton can sign players who aren’t fit for a quarter of the season.

Big teams have flops aswell.
He was getting booed by his own fans. Then after a while his own team mates started giving him dirty looks everytime he made a mistake.

I wouldn’t even say there’s much of a risk, worst case scenario it doesn’t work out and it’s just a hit on wages for a year.

Then in the case t goes well we either get a good season out of him and say bye or we get a good season out of him and sign him permanently.

Apart from him going insane and deliberately scoring an own goal in the derby or something I think we can say the risk involved is very minimal.
