I love Gomes, he is a beautiful player in every sense. But will need more goals and / or assists for him to be in classed in the same league as arteta, kanchelskis and Beardsley. That the though is high a high standard of peers

Not long finished watching this "live". I was boring the gf silly telling her how good he is. But as the game went on I thought he is doing a lot of good work but giving the ball away a little too cheaply. For me I thought Gueye played better.
Regardless, he is a player I would love to see every week. Him and Gueye are a great pair. Add in Siggurdson and that is exciting.

Hes played 3 games take it easy.

He looks a class player yes and i would make it our main priority to do whatever it takes to sign him, but people dont half go overboard seriously.

Some players only need 30 minutes to show you what they are all about.

This lad is the player many fans dreamed that Rodwell was going to be and so much more. He's got 2 feet, athletic, skilful, very clever...

You can hold off your excitement if you want. Personally watching him play for us on loan is like walking into a house for a viewing.... seeing it for the dream home you want. I don't want anyone else to view it ... make the offer, give them the asking price cos someone else will.

I can't think of a player anywhere near his ability who we have the remotest chance of signing.

The moment first half when he effortlessly controlled Richarlison's drilled pass, skinned Manga and crossed to Walcott was Valencia Gomes.

The drop in quality we're going to see when Davies has to step in at times is going to be spectacular.

Let me add to this. I've followed Everton since 1969, that was the year I was born so I was a little too young to appreciate the Kendall, Ball and Harvey's of this world. But I was certainly able to fully appreciate and rejoice with the 1980's sides, which were sublimely fantastic. Kanchelskis was superb, as was Peter Beardsley (sadly, that's it as far as world beating talent at Everton since 1987 goes).

We have been crying out for a midfielder of Gomes' talent for 30 odd years. He's THAT good. I'm excited as hell he is at Everton, It fills me with bloody joy just saying or hearing others mention his name, and I get tingles of anticipation when I'm about to watch him play.

Best footballer Everton have ever had? Tough call this early in his EFC career, coupled with our heroes of the past. BUT, If he stays permanently (and Everton should categorically go all out, no matter the cost, to pull that off) and he continues the way he is going, then yes he will go down as one of the greatest footballers ever to wear the EFC shirt. I for one, can not wait to see him grace the Bramley Moore turf,

Yikes. We don't half build players up

Excellent start to his Everton career. Think he genuinely loves it here and it's a great chance to rebuild his career. Reckon he'd sign up as he's still young enough to get another move if that's what he so wishes. Makes the game look effortless, always positive with his play and nine times out of ten finds a blue shirt, would be amazing if we could persuade him to stay.

Genuinely think he could be our marquee signing we have been crying out for if he can come permanently, he could be our game changer the one that gives us that boost to push the top 6, that's how good i believe he is.
