Give him a season
Whatever mate you get my point.Just to be clear. He’s played 5 games for us. Not 3
He's come in off hardly any pre season and missing the first dozen weeks of the prem and put 3 MOTM performances in.What exactly IS his situation
Do we have any realistic chance of buying him ?
Get with the times mate. Everything has to be either the best ever or worst ever. There is no inbetween. And 3 games is more than enough to base our judgement on, in fact a 2 minute youtube clip is all that is required nowadays.Looks very good but not even hot Arteta’s top level yet so all this best midfielder we’ve ever had is nonsense.
Niasses YouTube clip case in point.Get with the times mate. Everything has to be either the best ever or worst ever. There is no inbetween. And 3 games is more than enough to base our judgement on, in fact a 2 minute youtube clip is all that is required nowadays.
If he plays bad next week, we will all quite rightly call for him to be sent back to Barcelona asap, and should sack Brands for bringing him over.
That’s just the way it is
Any one who says "hes the sex" and "Lol" are guarenteed wools. He's the sex. Lol at before him it was kin Tom Davies and Morgan Schneiderlin jostling for a starting berth.
It's like going from having flings with Kerry Katona and Blanche from Corrie, then leaving them to get with Emily Ratajkowski.
Its only been 3 games.... Yet I wholly agree!Let me add to this. I've followed Everton since 1969, that was the year I was born so I was a little too young to appreciate the Kendall, Ball and Harvey's of this world. But I was certainly able to fully appreciate and rejoice with the 1980's sides, which were sublimely fantastic. Kanchelskis was superb, as was Peter Beardsley (sadly, that's it as far as world beating talent at Everton since 1987 goes).
We have been crying out for a midfielder of Gomes' talent for 30 odd years. He's THAT good. I'm excited as hell he is at Everton, It fills me with bloody joy just saying or hearing others mention his name, and I get tingles of anticipation when I'm about to watch him play.
Best footballer Everton have ever had? Tough call this early in his EFC career, coupled with our heroes of the past. BUT, If he stays permanently (and Everton should categorically go all out, no matter the cost, to pull that off) and he continues the way he is going, then yes he will go down as one of the greatest footballers ever to wear the EFC shirt. I for one, can not wait to see him grace the Bramley Moore turf,
3 games.
