I really hope that Brands and Moshiri and whoever just go all in on trying to keep him here. The guy has changed how our offense and midfield flow and I am always calm and comfortable when he has the ball.

Our lot have just become so used to the constant negativity surrounding the club, that they can’t get their heads around anything positive ever happening.

I’m somewhere in between this.

I see what you mean in that a much younger Gareth Barry was excellent, and he was still decent when we had him albeit old and slow, but the comparison for me doesn’t work. Gomes is a far better all round footballer in my opinion.

Yeah we loaned him out because everything was perfect right?

Of course first few games when he's nkt fatigued he will play at a high level. When fatigue kicks in and his confidence drops his limitations show. Against more technical sides Gomes tends to do well but as I said bruiser teams always do a number on him.
