Of course first few games when he's nkt fatigued he will play at a high level. When fatigue kicks in and his confidence drops his limitations show. Against more technical sides Gomes tends to do well but as I said bruiser teams always do a number on him.

Thats why he needs a powerhouse next to him or another technical player.

Having Gana there means if teams press or mark Gomes successfully then our threat in the centre is minimised and if they press gana he will just make a dodgy pass.

Gomes will look very good when he has a central partner to dovetail with.

Yeah i agree with that assesment 100 percent. Only trouble is how Silva will find a midfielder like that in this market.

It's going to be hard to keep him, he's clearly our best technical player by a million miles.
It's going to be even harder to keep him if we keep turning up apathetic garbage like the last two games and don't even cement the seventh place trophy.
Think teams will be more than happy to man mark him / rush him out of the game, knowing he often has limited to no support in midfield

According to the Echo he's said its an honour to play for Everton and if feels like family, we need to get this deal done in January even if it includes one of those buy back clauses that Barcelona keep including. 35-40 million should do it along with first refusal on Richarlison if he ever starts looking for a move.

Perhaps we don't need to sign anyone, maybe the answer is already at the club, I genuinely would like to see Schniderlin given a go with Gomes, Gana is great one of the best at breaking up play but in reality offers little else, I think we would see a far better Schneiderlin beside a great technical player like Gomes, I said the same about Keane that if he had a better CB partner he would become a much better player.

If Schneiderlin plays its probably not worth hoping for a result...hes a passenger.

Keane i dont think has been at the level needed for a top side either, compare him to Laporte and Stones for example...Mina though, thats a player

I think Gueye gives him the freedom to play that bit forward, whoever he plays with has to have a good defensive side to there game. Hopefully moving forward he can add some goals to his game.

I suggested that, much like I suggested Keane would be a far better player with better players beside him, and much like you now people laughed at me. I stand by what i said that Schniderlin would be a better partner for Gomes than Gana is.
