Only came from a lad on one of the other forums though mate, he sounded adamant like.
Why is that dumb?
Pretty much every team plays Christmas Day.
Because of the two-day turnaround, we probably had a light session on Christmas Eve as well, for recovery and also for the lads who didn't play on Sunday. Not really dumb at all, probably standard procedure. The teams that played Saturday will probably have been able to have one of the days off, but we weren't so fortunate.

Just a matter of opinion Friend, but Xmas day when they have family??? Me happen I am old fashioned and think are they are not supposed to be athletes and highly skilled footballers?

How many people work Christmas day. They are very well looked after and its a small sacrifice to make. 2 hours out of their day ain't torture
