Nah Gomes is miles better than Sissoko. They've just carved out a role for that lumbering mess that doesn't require him to do much beside run hard and occasionally dribble the ball forward.

I'm certain that of you put Pogba in Spurs midfield they would be much better even though he may not sprint as much as Sissoko. They've made hard work the center of how they play out of necessity because their midfield isn't very good. It's why Ajax were beating them easily before Spurs went long to Llorente. Spurs current midfield can't handle the top notch midfields.

To be fair on him, he has done well when called upon. If Gana goes as well we'll need at least one player that was here this year. Davies isn't ready to be first choice yet.

Really bad news if true that Spurs want Gomez. We have to face up to the fact that better players want CL football if they get a chance. This will hold us back if the likes of him and Zouma for an entirely different reason will not stay with us. Our alternative choices are comparatively 2nd rate. Back to the drawing board for Brands I fear. That would make 3 new players to sign if you include a good striker. There is no clear indication that Mina will turn out a good buy.

Pogba and the whole united side had been criticise multiple times for not working hard enough. They are good if they put in effort. A can’t be bother Pogba will do f all in any team nevermind spurs.
Football has evolve from the tika taka low intensity approach that we used to witness not so long ago. It is now high intensity high pressing high tempo, physical pacy football that is most effective now, and we are playing this brand of football whether you like it or not.

Don't get me wrong he's decent but we got done by the famous World Cup form book.

Anyway I've said previous I wouldn't be overly arsed about not signing Gomes for an inflated fee. We've turned a Barca meme player in to a quality midfielder, as far as I'm concerned they owe us one.
