This seems very difficult for some to grasp. This happens every single summer.

We’ve just “signed” Lossl and his contract at Huddersfield hasn’t even expired yet. These dates, including the “international” window dates, are simply when contracts can officially be registered.

That doesn’t mean deals, again including international deals, can’t be done and announced today.

You can bet your bottom dollar that some will still come on here in the coming days and weeks saying the window/international window isn’t open yet!
 
I am hoping he wants to come here and Barca are just trying to drum up other bids. Brands is sitting in waiting for the price to be right then to pounce. I hope that's the case anyway. We shall see. I think he is a top player. I hope he stays.
 
I don’t get the flapping, if we want him we will sign him simple as that.

People scared of fake West Ham bids is pretty amusing though.

Tottenham have dropped their interest in Barcelona's Andre Gomes, paving the way for Everton and West Ham to battle for the playmaker's signature. Barca want £30million for Gomes.

Daily Mail reporting that Spurs are no longer in on Gomes and are looking instead at Maddison.

All caveats re: reliability and I may be wrong but I think a rumor of no-interest is a little more credible...

It would become very boring very fast if it ever happens, Our league used to be competitive now its gone like all the rest with regards only certain teams will win it, Leicester were once in a generation, it looks more and more a wonderful achievement, just a pity the league reverted to type but its not an even playing field any more. I know people will say we were the mersey millionaires but the gap was nowhere near as big as it is now, absolutely nowhere near.

The next one up if it goes will be Newcastle, alreday have a decent stadium and now will have a shed full of money.
