Absolutely agree TT, the total lack of respect by Spurs, having the gall to throw in an appeal is sickening. But I'm sure we will get one or two on here, who will argue that case, I have a good idea who.

But it isn't about Spurs or respect,it's about another case of dire refereeing. He took out a yellow for the tackle,then when he saw the injury switched it to red when it's more likely the fullback caused that.

A challenge/ tackle usually involves a ball. Son was not going for the ball he went for the man simple ....Shi€house simple.

He tried to knock him off balance. Defenders do it every time a corner comes in. They also do it to usher the ball out for a goal kick, they purposely block off the player and let the ball go out having no intention to play the ball.

Tackle from the side/behind, 2 yards from the ball as a result player is injured and could be out of the game for a year.
The culprit is exonerated.

I can't see them giving a proper reason, ever – the Prem hates having referees made accountable, that's why they disapprove of Ref Watch on Sky Sports News.

Then if you tap someones ankle and they fall awkwardly and dislocate their knee it's then a red for a challenge that might not even warrant a yellow? Coleman went over the ball at Burnley and got a yellow for a far worse tackle than Son's.

The tackle itself didnt cause any direct harm to Gomes.
