Great news about Sons red card being overturned . Wonderful human being. Think Gomes made a meal of it. Son now needs councelling to get over the red card. Son player of the year now, sorry bafta award winner for his portrayal of a player overreacting and getting everyone's sympathy

son will play tomorrow if he even was,or return saturday like nothing happened i bet

Spurs have acted shamefully in all of this.

They break a players ankle but now the narrative is the ref (who failed to award us 2 pens) cost them the 3 points.

He tried to knock him off balance. Defenders do it every time a corner comes in. They also do it to usher the ball out for a goal kick, they purposely block off the player and let the ball go out having no intention to play the ball.

I just don't know how the answer to "Did he endanger the safety of the player?" can be "No" when the players leg is left in multiple pieces. Maybe explain that one.

If might be but honestly I'd like to see decent video of Auriers challenge because it might have been studs up and high in which case it's a bit more than wrong place, wrong time.

Which is why I would like to see the panels reason for over turning it before I foam at the mouth, cos they have obviously seen the whole lot of the footage. And we havnt.

That said, the rules do say a tackle from behind in those circumstances is a red. But not on Sunday it seems.

Do you really think that ushering the ball out for a goal kick is the same as Son’s challenge on Gomes?

I think that the right thing to do is for Everton to ask for the point to be taken off us and the win given to Tottenham. It should make Son feel a bit better.

Those two factors are one of the DEFINITIONS of a red card offence.

the fact that the PL sided with one of the top 6 is hardly a compelling argument.

We are so special we've our own rule book. We must have surely cause everytime Everton are involved we seem to get a different outcome to every other team,on everything.
