This picture makes me think Aurier has done most of the damage here though, not that Son knocking him off balance isn't contributing, but his leg looks fine before Aurier clatters him.

The foul didnt directly cause a broken bone.

Ive been very reasonable and also very clear in my debate.

I watched the tackle over and over again, as painful as it was to watch, I needed to understand how it happened.

Son isnt blameless, but he didnt cause the injury to Gomes, it was a freak injury.

If Son doesnt foul him, nothing happens, but thats fate for you.

I can't be bothered to pour over the details of what happened on Sunday because it's done now but your reply to my post was literally 'are we giving red cards for every foul now' which is the kind of argument a child would put across.

There's not a day that goes by where I don't hate modern football more and more. The rules and justice only apply to the elite and everyone else can GTF.

I'm sure the ref can change their mind too if the initial foul results in serious injury, so the ref blew and books Son for a rash tackle from behind, when he sees the severity of the injury he can change his mind from booking to sending off, I don't know if it's true just what I was told and seems fair to me

Hope Son gets a hat trick at the weekend as maybe Wilder or a member of the Sheffield united hierarchy will kick up just the kind of stink this club is unable to manage at any level.

Both contributes and the fact Andre traps his full weight on his ankle makes a horrible situation. Just sickening all round.

Again, though, it was the correct decision – it ticks all the boxes from the FA laws of the game, and he didn't even go for the ball, which makes it even worse.

Someone has to be punished. What isn't arguable here is that a players leg has been broken because of the actions of opponents and for no one to be punished for that outcome is wrong.

I think they are though mate, because if Son gets a yellow and Gomes doesn’t fall awkwardly and carry’s on with the game no one would be saying a word. My argument is if we call sons challenge a red card offence then seriously il be amazed if any team finishes a game with 11 men from now on.

It's like being asked to be sympathetic to someone who stabbed someone because they were sickened by the sight of blood and guts. They made their choice, no one should feel that sympathetic.
