Even if you (wrongly) don't think it was a red card then you can't seriously say he's blameless. He broke an ankle with an act outside the rules of football. By definition, it was entirely his fault. Blameless would be a completely legal challenge where he stayed on his feet but unfortunately an injury occurred. That did not happen.
