He’s so far off the pace it borders on upsetting. Really hard to know if this is just a matter of match fitness, or if the injury has had a lasting effect.

He doesnt seem confident of holding onto the ball anymore, which was one of his biggest strengths. We all know hes a good player but in 442, he needs a top top player alongside him or more often than not it wont work.

If he's been carrying an injury or whatever then fair enough. Otherwise the last three games might be one of the worst runs of form I've seen from a midfielder. It's not a good sign that twice in the span of those three games Sigurdsson had to be brought on for defensive security and it was actually way better.

He’s been fit for 4 months. There is no excusing a lack of effort I’m afraid.

Never thought I’d say this but I’d be considering offloading him in the summer. His good games have been outnumbered by mediocre or terrible ones now.
