I'm worried that either his head or his heart isn't in it. It's understandable after the injury but I think a stint on the bench for these last 4 might be the best thing for him.
 
Carlo knows that Gomes is a quality player and just shows how bad our midfield is when he is 1st pick on the team sheet.

If we had ANY midfield players Gomes should be eased back after that horrific injury . Its plain to see he is running on empty and its a rest he needs not getting slagged off by everyone.
Turn your anger to the fully fit chumps he's playing alongside.

That was a seriously worrying performance. The kind that usually makes someone hang up their boots! But they're usually about 35 at the time. Would probably take him out the team the last 4 games, not sure it will do him any good.
 
Some mental gymnastics here. There were long spells last season when he was quite poor.
He hadn’t started this season especially well - his performance at Villa was probably the worst display of any of our players all year.

A talented player but looking increasingly unsuited to the Prem - anybody with no concerns about him are deluding themselves.
 
Drop him if he ain’t injured. He’s playing like he’s 35 and ain’t bothered. This bloke deserves more than double the stick Davies gets, the money we paid to sign him and the wages we pay him don’t justify the player we have

I couldn't believe the clamour to sign him permanently. Where else was he going? West Ham? No one denies he has talent but we see it about once every 4 games. You can't have that from your top centre mid.
 
I certainly don't think he's a bad footballer, but that was so far short of whats acceptable. Something wasn't right.

Think its best he's given a week off to recover physically and mentally. Come back for the last two games then move on. I have no idea what was wrong tonight but he wasn't interested in the match and was not committing to any challenges. Really really strange.
