I don’t agree a lot of the time he’s a liability in midfield. He’s a tidy player but lacks strength and tbh doesn't do much else. He’d looks fine in a midfield at say City Barcelona but he isn’t right for our midfield at this moment in time. If he’s sold it wouldn’t bother me one bit, actually I’d be quite pleased.

He is technically good but too easily put off his game when other teams want to scrap and in his face...

If you go back through this thread you'll see a lot of laudatory posts in relation to passes or crosses that almost made it to the player. People justifying him having a good game because he played a decent ball that nearly got to one of our players, that is how low his bar is now.

The lad is awful.

Problem with Andre is as talented as he is on the ball off the ball his mobility gets exposed and I struggle to remember many games he has actually dominated in his three seasons with us. He shows flashes and whilst I sympathise with his injury I feel like we need someone who can drive us on more than he ever will.

You're right...when gueye was playing alongside gomes its when he was literally unplayable...he was fantastic for us. Still remember his performance at anfield that year...top player. Hopefully we'll find thta balance in midfield with a runner beside him.
