He’s too good for our team sadly.... technically he’s miles ahead of the rest, such a shame as he will move on and shine elsewhere.

To be fair though mAddison and tilemans have the luxury of ndidi behind them. Gomes has been alrite recently.

I don’t rate n’didi as much as everyone else, media build players up and he’s good but I just don’t think he’s this brilliant defensive mid like everyone says he is. He ain’t no kante

You're right...when gueye was playing alongside gomes its when he was literally unplayable...he was fantastic for us. Still remember his performance at anfield that year...top player. Hopefully we'll find thta balance in midfield with a runner beside him.

He was decent but let’s not get carried away. He still wasn’t scoring goals or creating chances.
You cannot have a midfielder that needs a ‘runner’ next to them these days.

Think he is still recovering from the injury. He is improving noticeably but still has a long way to go. He can occasionally produce a fantastic cross or pass but occasionally isn’t good enough. I would see how he goes in the remaining games & compare Form against who else is available.

Not at all sure we will see him as before the injury.

He's been literally unplayable for the majority of his time here. For the wrong reasons both pre and post injury.

You would think he was a combo of Zidane, Scholes and Xavi pre injury from the comments on here. In truth he was always slow and had some awful games.

It’s a coping mechanism to pretend the injury has finished him. Broken ankles don’t finish players.

He can appear quite busy in games at times, but without doing much.

Gomes doesn't offer anything much that's tangible, that's the issue, which is rather,erm, devastating.

An assist against Wolves here, some decent passes against Sheffield United there.

There is very little of substance. He shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI, the fact he is speaks volumes for how much work we still have to do.

When I look at his stats I actually wanna throw up, This guy has gotten off massively by the fanbase and I'm probably guilty of it too, His numbers are abysmal. He's not scored a goal for us since permanently signing. I think he's worth having around as a bench/rotation option but as a starter? No thanks.

Yeah thats not right.

Physically it doesnt do much, but he will carry the mental scars his whole career.
