He’s incredibly bad now as a player. But will still get picked because he’s all we have.
Let’s hope JPG is some sort of freak and is available to hit the ground running so we don’t have to start him any more.
 
Any competent midfielder would have ran with the ball into the wide open space then passed to Richarlison but nope not this guy, He doesn't want any responibility.
 
Bottling out of that chance when he was clean through sums him up. Absolute coward who wants to do nothing but blend into the background and not be noticed during the game. Sell for anything above or around £8m in the summer, he’s done here.

Didn't he put a perfect ball through to Richarlison who stupedly ran offside, then fluffed the chance?

Gomes put about 3 on a plate for him last night.

No he played an idiotic pass. Richarlison had dropped deep to try and intercept a pass back. How on earth an international football player who played for Barcelona cant recognise a player will be offside in that scenario is bewildering.

It was entirely his fault for passing the ball so quickly. All he had to do was carry it 10 yards, let Richarlison get behind the play, and slide a simple square pass. It was a horrendous piece of play.

Thats exactly it. Richarlison just legged it offside. It didn't matter anyway, as he fluffed the chance after Gomes had stuck it on a plate for him. He did it another couple of times as well. Gomes should have had a couple of assists last night if our lads could finish.

He's probably used to striker for Barcelona doing a concept you learn at 12- bending your run.

As for the 2nd part, how could Richarlison get behind the play when he was sprinting full pelt into an offside position?
