Oh god just started reading the extensive tactical analyses of Nuno post on this forum when i stumbled across the fact Nuno managed Gomes at Valencia....argh

To be fair his Valencia form was great and why Barca shelled out for him, it's since then it has gone down hill but nuno is the manager who has got the best out of Gomes.

Nothing to do with getting injured.

That season he had gueye beside him...makes a huge difference. We never really replaced him and so never got that balance in midfield exactly right.

How long is his contract for? He isn't going anywhere permanently that's for sure.

Is it better to keep him as a fringe player for 15 minutes in games or loan him for a season where we end up picking up the tab for most of his wages probably?

He can't start or be a mainstay in the team, seen absolutely enough to know what he can contribute, which is literally next to nothing.

There shouldn't be any need for NES to spend a season analysing his stats or performances, he should know already.

Gomes is finished here, but our problem with him is far from finished.
