Agreed. People getting carried away. He will continue to be a passenger for most games he plays. He did very well for the winner, but take that away then the what changed the game was having an extra body in the middle and not specifically Gomes. People raving about him as if he came on and ran the game. He did OK at best.

He will have another crap game soon and all those saying class etc will be brought down to earth like we always do!

I just don’t see what others do with him. He does so little 90% of the time.

As a player rotated in and out of the the first 11 he is a good player for us. A little inconsistent, but who else is their on the bench that you would look to to change the game.

Largely agree with the sentiment that he’s good in a 3 and that we should play it, for many games like Wolves and Liverpool we definitely should have.

I think the reason he’s been so effective against Burnley and Arsenal however is because it shocks the opponent and all of a sudden they’re outnumbered in the middle, nobody knows who’s picking him up etc. Id keep using him in that manner.

We need 3 in midfield and it’s between him and Delph (who hasn’t had a look-in recently) who gets it.
Will he still be inconsistent, probably, could we do with better, yes. But with some legs around him, he could do a job and would be better than watching us continuously get overrun in the current 442.

They make Rolls Royce near me, having seen how many end up at the side of the road whilst still on their test runs, Id rather take the Seat Leon tbh.

The ones they make near me seem to be more exclusive (heading for Dubai and places like that) so you get them in some crazy colours, I saw a bright yellow one the other day and did a proper double take as it just looked wrong. They are also the size of a small boat.

Same old with Andre, he is fine when he has legs around him, use him properly and he will do decent things - if Doucoure/Allan are out injured don't expect him to fill those holes. He's a confidence player too, make sure you manage that and all will be fine.
