You shouldn't need to tailor formations around certain players just because they need another body in midfield to carry them around and conceal their short comings. Same is the problem with our other mentally retarded Keane, who once beaten for pace would need someone to come across and get him out of trouble.

I actually struggle to see who is a worse cm in the league than andre gomes.

Now for me i like to see what a player brings to the team to the game when is on his a pitch.

Going forward gomes doesnt bring anything he doesnt create chance doesnt score doesnt put crosses in the box hey i dont even think he even passes forward

Defending gomes cant tackle very rarely wins the ball back he does commit alot of fouls which tells me he is not a very good tackler when we lose the ball gomes doesnt sprint to get back behind the ball he just jogs.

So again i just dont get what he brings to the team.

I honestly struggle to find a worse cm.

Atleast davis puts him self about he gets stuck in trys to get us moving forward.

Delph tbf does tackle and get the ball back but thats about it.

Doucoure is the engine in midfield does well defending and attacking.

Allan we all know what he brings.

I can name a worse cm than gomes we have a couple in our squad … delph and gbamin … davies just shades gomes though. Our midfield is absolutely horrendous and playing any one of our cm other than Allan of doucoure means we lose any battle with another prem team… having to pick two of those players mean we get run ragged all game
