We seem to have a squad of 'nice guys' just very poor players. I think Gomes is done at this level sadly, shame, he does have ability but for whatever reasons just can't perform and doesn't have the physical attributes to make up for it on an off day(lol more of them really)

I actually struggle to see who is a worse cm in the league than andre gomes.

Now for me i like to see what a player brings to the team to the game when is on his a pitch.

Going forward gomes doesnt bring anything he doesnt create chance doesnt score doesnt put crosses in the box hey i dont even think he even passes forward

Defending gomes cant tackle very rarely wins the ball back he does commit alot of fouls which tells me he is not a very good tackler when we lose the ball gomes doesnt sprint to get back behind the ball he just jogs.

So again i just dont get what he brings to the team.

I honestly struggle to find a worse cm.

Atleast davis puts him self about he gets stuck in trys to get us moving forward.

Delph tbf does tackle and get the ball back but thats about it.

Doucoure is the engine in midfield does well defending and attacking.

Allan we all know what he brings.

Gomes ?????

I can see the potential of a page or two to be devoted to Andre in the (auto) biographies of several Everton managers to come in the future.

Gomes seems to epitomise all that's wrong and what has failed at Everton. I don't get how someone with his supposed pedigree and experience could look so hopelessly out of place yesterday. So out of place that he could and should have been substituted.

Has his career to date just been proof of someone who can get this far but still hoodwink football professionals and others continuously?

He should be taken out of the team for his and everyone's benefit. Accept that he in all likelihood won't take a pay cut to move but perhaps time out might give him the perspective to re-think that stance. Something other than psychological brittleness and profound lack of confidence is wrong here. Fundamentally, he simply isn't good enough but nor should he be as woeful as he was yesterday.

Physically and mentally he isnt cut it for it anymore (im being as nice as i can to him with that)
Its been documented that he struggled mentally at barca and he seems to be back in that way now, throw that together with the fact he's hands down the slowest crab ive ever seen and we have what we have.
Will be disappointed/confused with Frank if he plays another minute for us in the prem until we're mathematically safe.

We witnessed a mental breakdown yesterday. So bad it was almost a plea to be substituted.

I don't think he'd be bothered if he didn't play another minute this season. I wonder how he feels picking up £120,000 for that.
