Gomes at least had 1 very good game.

Keane had a good season under Carlo.

Bolasie and Gmabimin are without question our biggest wastes of money for me.

We got nothing out of either.

I mean that's technically correct, but both were destroyed by injury.

He was never worth 28 mil, but Bolasie was an outlet and got a few goals and assists before doing his ACL

Blaming injury is fair.

That’s an optimistic view given what I observed yesterday. 3 of those were pretty ineffective……against Sheffield Utd ffs.
Got to get McNeil and Harrison back in soon. Then I would drop Gana (who is finished imo) and play Onana as the defensive shield midfielder, he has the physical attributes to do it and he never offers a goal threat, so no loss there.

Onana as shield with McNeill and Garner ahead left and right. McNeill definitely has the attributes to move inside. Leaves Danjuma and Harrison as wingers either side of Beto/DCL. Doucoure and Gana basically injury cover or can come on to allow McNeill to move wide / Garner to right back etc if needed

No fan of his but assuming he stays he should be on the bench. Might get the odd stable 10 minutes from him here and there. Not like we have an abundance of options.

Would still need to show willing though. That cameo substitute appearance when we lost 2-0 away to Southampton under Lampard was possibly the worst ever I've seen from an Everton player.

Hear me out.....i could see him doing well next to Onana, with Onana as a 6 and Gomes as an 8
It's the one way I could see him making a go of it. You'd need pace off the wings, which we have.
I'd be very happy to see them try it against Villa in the LC.

I added him, we got about 2m, so yes nominal.

But the criteria is busted.

I mean we paid 30m for Pickford, we are unlikely to ever get that money back, but hes been worth the fee.
Im not fan of Doucs, but its fair to say he has more than earned his 20m fee.
The much malinged Keane, hes been here a number of years, played a vast amount of games, people wont like it, but hes been worth his fee.

Even Allan for example, we paid 20m for a 30 year old, we were never seeing that money again.

Not disagreeing that we have wasted vast sums of money, but there has to be reason to things.
