Are there any credible links saying a Saudi team wants to buy him? I wouldn't give him any game time. We've got Doucoure, Gana, Garner, Onana who can play centre midfield. I'd rather play McNeil, Onyango, Dele or a 4-4-2 if we had injuries instead of playing Gomes. He's put in way too many cowardly performances to be given another opportunity. Big wages as well.

That’s an optimistic view given what I observed yesterday. 3 of those were pretty ineffective……against Sheffield Utd ffs.
Got to get McNeil and Harrison back in soon. Then I would drop Gana (who is finished imo) and play Onana as the defensive shield midfielder, he has the physical attributes to do it and he never offers a goal threat, so no loss there.

His occasional calmness on the ball and undoubted technical ability is exactly what we need more of. But the downsides that come with it (mainly pace) are far far to deep for a squad with as little quality as ours to make up for him.

Crazy career he is having. Wonder what he actually wants, what position he thinks he is best at, and what level/league he honestly sees himself as.

I agree we would be light, but if we get to January and Gomes has played and games for us, we will certainly be in the relegation places.

The contracts we were handing out back there were Farcical and for me the blame for that falls on Marcels shoulders.

I’d rather shift Gomes than Gray, though he’s probably going to down tools so will be gone too.

Threadbare squad until January. Hopefully we use those 2 remaining loans wisely.
