I’d be surprised if he’s shown 90 minutes of superb footballing ability since he’s been here tbh.

I think his beauty has saved him from criticism befitting his largely abysmal performances during a very expensive spell here.

Other than the Derby at Anfield where he missed a point blank header, he’s been pretty poor. After that game I thought we had a real player but he consistently failed to perform to anywhere near that standard.

All the money he's been massively overpaid, we should offer him an extension, one year, on £5,000 per week. Would even him out to about £60k a week over his entire stay with us over five years.

Always looked comfortable on the ball but never had the mentality to make things happen and rubbish defensively.

File under expensive waste of space. Pretty player to watch but ineffective.
