Two very good points. Stoke and Spurs have both been mentioned, but not a single German, French, Spanish or Italian club. It does make you a little wary, but equally if Roma, Dortmund or Athletico showed an interest I would doubt that we'd get a look in - this means that we will have to pay a bit more to avoid risking teams snififng around him in January 2016.

Just look at what happened with Konoplyanka. His boss refused to sign the Liverpool transfer and he left on the free with a nice queue of clubs lining up to get him.
I believe lots of clubs will be lining up for Yarmolenko as well if he stays in Kyiv for another year and leaves a free agent.

So yes... either pay now - or compete with lots of others next year.
