My guess would be Yarmalenko, Lukaku and Mirallas playing as a fluid front 3 switching positions through the game with Barkley playing a little deeper in the pockets of space created by all that movement in front of him.

Can we be ambitious enough to say NO we are keep Stones we are building a side to break the top 4?
recent years say no.
If Stones goes (£40m) I would target Van Dijk as straight replacement in the side. A lot of pundits have said he is similar type of defender would likely pay £12m ish for him

If , big if , we sign him I agree that that is how the front 4 will look.

You will need to play 2 disciplined midfielders behind them.

Personally I'd like to see him go 4/3/3 but not convinced he will do that.

Kev could play in the number 10 role, Martinez has tried him there before. This is all premature as you know it'll be very rare to get everyone fit to have this problem once the hamstring monster gets hold of the wingers (his favourite!).

My pessimism levels remain rock bottom throughout...they don't normally start raising until a week after we've signed the player

Starter for me when fit. Although he's great off the bench in tight games.
