If we get him which I'm praying to god we do, the first season will largely be about getting settled and used to England and the PL. wouldn't expect massive things first season and could start plenty of games on the bench until at least Xmas.

Maybe not tho....he may just be Super Boss immediately!! Ha..

Instead of anyone in the front 4. He's the second most talented player at Everton after JS. Just needs loves like all the rest
Not for me.

He is just an impact player at the moment.

He has lots of talent but ( based on what I saw of him at Seville last season and his initial spell with us ) he is a bit of a headless chicken running into blind alleys. He really needs to get his head up and look for a pass.

To suggest he is more talented than Barkley , Osman ,Baines or Mirallas is just wrong and in terms of importance to the team he is well down the list.

Don't get me wrong he has super potential and technical ability but has so much to learn and develop to become integral to the team.

BTW I know that many on here will be apoplectic that I dare suggest that Baines and Osman have more talent but footballing talent is not just running with the ball. Those two although getting to the end of their careers are super technically. I might also have put Cleverly in that list .

Well for me we can never have to many good players MK and he's clearly got talent. To be honest I think considering that we've just brought in Deulofeu and signed Mirallas on for a few more years we'll see a change to 4-3-3 mate. If we're paying out £15m on another attacking goal scoring winger while we're seemingly being more desperate for a creative player central link player I can't see it being anything else to be honest.

I actually think it suites us better though as it stands, I think it helps us play to Lukakus strengths more. Clearly the trick is getting teams to come at us at home so we can hit them quick and effective. It might be alright away from home but I'm not sure how it changes anything against the likes of West Brom, Palace and the likes at Goodison.

(Might have to whisper if quietly but I think Barry's the key to us changing formation to 4-3-3, he's the only one in the middle who see's a forward pass and is still disciplined enough to conduct the midfield)

Yeah I agree with all of this.

I do think with Yarmelenko's ability with both feet, we will see him play on the left at time especially when Baines is back. That leaves Deulofeu and KM battling it out on the right.

The biggest shame in all this is that Lennon probably won't get his earned move to us on a permanent, unless we offload McGeady and Naismith

I don't get Everton - we fume and fume about this lad going to Spurs then jizz everywhere at some random Twitter posts then when it finally looks like he might actually be coming to us people start wondering if he'll be right for us, if he's too one footed, if his temperament is right, that he should start on the bench?????????

BE HAPPY FOR ONCE GUYS

Like honestly what wanger just suggested we start with Lennon/Gerard over this guy and Kev? Get your head out of your arse
that'll be me. so you been watching him regularly and know exactly how he will fit in? If Lennon was here then he would defo start ahead of Kev based on the impact the two had last season. Are you watching the match or just looking at the prices?

It's been said before but this whole thing has the signature of Everton typical transfer all over it. I really.hope we do sign him, I reckon he will be a massive player for us against the top 4.

I've seen him play multiple times for Ukraine and Dynamo but that's besides the point. Maybe he will take a bit of an adaptation period but almost every other team this year has put their new signings straight in and been fine. Not sure why Everton always need to 'bed' their players in like their bringing them from the Amazon rainforest. Kev struggled with injuries last year but I'd still definitely have him starting over Lennon.

EVERTON CLOSE TO YARMOLENKO

Now this could be an exciting signing if you're an Everton fan - we understand they've agreed a £15m deal to sign Dynamo Kiev captainAndriy Yarmolenko.

The Ukraine forward has a buy-out clause in his contract and while Everton are saying the deal has not been agreed we're told the two clubs have made contact about the deal.

Yarmolenko scored in Dynamo's 5-2 win over Everton last season and after that game Roberto Martinez said the player would be a success in the Premier League.

Vintage Everton right there.

i have seen him a few times too and as I have said looks exciting and I am sure he will start. Not sure every new player has gone straight in and been fine. Sterling? You have an opinion lad. Get over it. Lennon turned our season around because he had something our other wide players haven't. He worked well with Coleman too. All about balance and waiting to see. Deulofeu was too good to leave Barca when we thought we couldn't get him. So wait and see there too.

The "two clubs have made contact" bit is my favourite. So basically in almost a week of strong rumours we've managed to ring them up and say "orite lads, ur captain 4 sale???"
Not really, its pretty obvious its actually further along than that

Lennon did brilliantly for us but the £6-9m we've been quoted? Nah not for me. Turns 29 early next year, won't be a starter & has no sell on value. Rather invest in youth myself.

Might get him back on loan like we did with Barry with a set fee agreed at end of contract ?
