Loving following the Yarmalenko thread on the Stoke forum. They are stunned that he might prefer a move to Everton. This is what one of them has come out with:

'Everton are unlikely to be able to blow us out of the market on wages. They can't offer European football, and are a club that has been in decline for a number of years whereas we have improved steadily.'

Who cares what Stoke fans have to say? They will play against Port Vale in a few years time. That's their level.

To be fair they are clearly not going anywhere. They're improving and 'their level' is clearly in the Prem.

It's just that their fan's self perception is not mirroring the steady progress of their club. It seems to have skyrocketed into another plane of existence, where up is down, Shaqiri is Messi and Stoke are the working class Real Madrid.

I was also thinking the same thing....oatcakes, I for one would be ashamed to be a member posting on a site with that name. Seems like some of them have gotten too big for the britches. One season does not make you a European super power.
