Great impact sub for me now, Gordon should start ahead of him, but Townsend last 20 is a great option to have now

Used the defender really well as a decoy as well. He knew if he put it to that side, the keeper would see it late past the defender.

This guy, unbelievable use of the eyes.

If you noticed his wonder goal against Burnley, just before he shot, he glanced across the pitch fooling players into thinking he was looking at a pass. He never looked towards goal.

He did the same on Saturday, he glanced directly across the pitch which made the defender and goalie think the ball was going across from them. He then whipped the ball inboard of them both. The goalie was still heading towards his right as the ball went past him.

Very clever player.

Yes have to say signing him and Gray were the only good thing Raffa gave us. Townsend is a good signing on a free. Alot better player than we thought we were getting.

I think Anthony Gordon has become a completely different and better player under Benitez, much more involved, works harder, a better team player and he has added aggressive tackles to his game and in fact praised Mr. Benitez for the way he talked and looked after him this season.
