He was at the Arsenal, Forest and Brentford games as well I believe. I hope he can get us a few goals/assists this season because whatever anyone thinks of him he slots now and again and we are desperate for goal scorers.

Garner and Patterson both 21, been training for weeks, under 21 games and still not had a kick. Seasons over in less than 8 weeks

Granted, he's not going to get any better than he was, but is better

3 prem goals and 1 was a pen. I don’t really look at goals v lower teams in cups or even a non league team.

I noticed on Evertons latest behind the scenes video that he travelled down with the squad for Chelsea.

That must have been a nice boost for him being in and around the squad on a matchday.

He sat in the top balcony against Villa i think; I passed him on the way up the stairs

Patterson hasn’t been on bench, well I don t think he has, seems to be training for ages nsa called up by Scotland. Also Coleman at 34 played a lot of games and was taken off Saturday and Godfrey moved across.

I agree with dyche keeping a settled team, which he’s also done after a defeat, maybe 1/2 positions changed at the most

Anyway this is about Townsend, he wouldn’t be starting if he was match fit, so I’d be amazed if he starts a game coming back of a year out, he may make the bench the last few games. But wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see him again as part of a match day squad

I would widen that to don't buy any pacy winger over 26 years of age..
