I liked this signing. Andros could score with either foot, and provided great service from either wing. He put in a strong effort out of possession, and was fairly solid from a defensive positional awareness standpoint.

At the time of signing we had not one footballer on the squad that could put a cross on, while attempting to make DCL our attack's focal point.

He was limited due to his age but was always intended to be more of a depth or off-the-bench contributor, and we picked him up on a free.

All said, Townsend was a good signing that provided value, and it now makes business sense for him to move on. We could and have done much worse business. Shame we didn't see a run of him and DCL both fit and in the squad.

Don’t get people morning about him. Decent enough signing for free. Worked hard, scored a few decent blammos, just was unlucky with the injury. Wish him good luck for the future and be nice!
