Not for me, started off well in the first half dozen games and then he was very very average. Then a massive Injury deffo doesn't deserve a new contact

Yer played 7 months out of 18 and people want to offer him a new contract.

He has been out of action because of the consequences of one injury, the only people who can offer him a new contract are Thelwell and Lampard, other fans like me can hope he gets another year added to his stay here and maybe he will be fit enough to perform for us the way he did before the injury, not for you but not much to ask for a thorough professional footballer.

We've been forced to keep many worse than him on bigger wages for longer.

Impossible to say at this point.

But if he comes back at the same level he went away, then for me its a no-brainer.

Yes hes older and its likely he will pick up more niggles, especially suffering such a serious injury, but he was a decent option for us, for wages it makes total sense.

But he needs to get on the pitch to know for sure and I dont just mean a game or 2.

The forward area needs additions on top of the players we have.

I think he would be a useful option on the bench but how will he be affected by being out so long? I’m sure the club will gauge where he is at and if he can still fill the role or not as blammo merchant from the pine.

Depending on wages, I would give him another year. Think hes another good character in the dressing room, hes been about and done pretty much everything in football could be a good influence on the younger players.

Andros Townsend would be another decent option for Frank Lampard to utilise, but it all depends on how he is when he returns from his long lay-off.
